Bonus Trivia Question!

I was recently asked this question, so I’ll pose it to the group.

What was the first animal used by US Customs/Immigration?

Trivia Thursday

Today’s question is more of a who can guess the date question.  It has been 9 days since President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.  Unfortunately, the news of the new President still hasn’t made it to our Northern border.  I thought we lived in a time where news travels at the speed of light.  Maybe US Customs or Homeland Security (whatever they want to call themselves) is waiting for Paul Revere to deliver the news by horseback.  They probably don’t know that Paul isn’t around anymore.

So here’s the question:  Can you guess the date when the Tunnel Custom’s Office will post the picture of the current President?

Trivia Week: First Car

What was the first car to travel through the Detroit - Windsor Tunnel?

Trivia Week: How Many Tiles in the Tunnel?

Here’s today’s question:   How many tiles cover the walls of the Tunnel?

Here’s my answer:  69,660

I know that Tunnel is 5160 feet in length or 61,920 inches.  If the tiles are 16 inches long, that means there are 3870 tiles for one row.  There are 9 tiles high and 2 walls.  So (61920 / 16) * 9 * 2 = 69,660.

Anyone else care to venture a guess?

It requires a lot time in the Tunnel to think about this.

Trivia Week: Monday

I thought it was time for some interaction with readers.  This week, I’m going to post trivia questions about the Tunnel, the Bus, or Customs.  Like today’s question, I’m not sure what the answer is so I’m hoping that someone will inform me of the answer and post it on the blog.  So here we go:

Question:  What do the numbers on the side of the Tunnel indicate?  What’s the lowest number and the highest number?

(Insert your own Jeopardy music while you answer the question)
